Certification and without California Certification. However,
by law, it is claimed to be "illegal"
to sell a water treatment device making claims of contaminant
removal [such as Cryptosporidium (protozoan cysts), bacteria
and viruses] or makes other health related performance claims,
that has not been certified by the State of California, to a
resident of California. Assurance: This UV
system has been California Certified #02-1516 for Microbiological
Treatment - bacteria and viruses. Also, NSF Standard 55 Class
A certification ensures water treated by a TrojanUVMax Pro Series
product is safe. In fact, certain states require UV systems being
installed to be NSF Class A certified.
UV light works by attacking the genetic core (DNA) of bacteria
and viruses, such as E.coli and/or coliform bacteria destoying
their ability to function and reproduce. The process is simple

The aquafer waterSource magnetic water
filter unit uses a well refined
catalytic/magnetic device
to render the water hardness harmless (see
our frequently asked questions). This is done by converting
the hardness from a dissolved contaminant to a sub-micron suspended
solid that literally washes through the plumbing system before
it can react and form a scale or interfere with the action of
soaps and detergents. Powerful long life rare earth magnets are
used so there is no need for an outside power source. The process
is self-cleaning and unlike standard water softeners requires
no chemicals. When the calcium hardness is turned to a suspended
solid the surface tension of the water is reduced. There is also
a short-term effect on surface tension caused by a magnetic field.
The lower surface tension causes water to rise higher in a fine
tube called a capillary tube. This is conventionally referred
to as a wetter water --- plants get greener and all living
cells can get more water in a shorter period of time.
Once the water hardness is controlled,
the water is exposed to a special filtration media that destroys
the residual chlorine and eliminates the bad tastes and odors
associated with this chlorine. Thus providing filtered drinking
water at every tap! (see our frequently
asked questions). Because the flow is always in the upward
direction there is no resulting need for wasting water for backwash
and no need for a valve to control water direction. No valve!
