The ESF whole house water
conditioner unit uses
a well refined catalytic/magnetic
device to render the water hardness harmless . This is done
by converting the hardness a sub-micron suspended solid that
literally washes through the plumbing system before it can react
and form a scale or interfere with the action of soaps and detergents.
With the use of our catalytic process along with powerful long
life rare earth magnets there is no need for an outside power
source. When the calcium hardness is turned to a suspended solid
the surface tension of the water is reduced. There is also a
short-term effect on surface tension caused by a magnetic field.
The lower surface tension causes water to rise higher in a fine
tube called a capillary tube. This is conventionally referred
to as a wetter water --- plants get greener and all living
cells can get more water in a shorter period of time.
There are many Scale Prevention
Devices on the market today that utilize the principle of magnetics.
However, magnets alone are usually not effective in every situation
at preventing scale.
Magnets Alone are Ineffective!
The patented ESF Scale Prevention System was developed to ensure
that the proper reaction and results are achieved without any
guess-work. In order for magnets to be effective at preventing
scale, the water must be in a specific condition prior to passing
through the magnetic chamber. This specific condition rarely
occurs naturally in water. That is why most systems that utilize
only magnets are ineffective. The ESF Scale Prevention System
ensures that the proper water condition exists prior to the magnetic
chamber by including two pretreatment reaction chambers within
the system. Each chamber is described below.
(1) Pressure Change Chamber
If the calcium content of the water (calcium is the predominate
contaminant that causes scale) is to be properly treated by magnets
for scale prevention, it must become insoluble or "undissolved"
prior to reaching the magnetic chamber. In order to accomplish
this, the patented ESF Scale Prevention System has incorporated
a Pressure Change Chamber which causes a slight pressure change
which in turn reduces the carbon dioxide level of the water.
The reduction of carbon dioxide creates a favorable condition
for the calcium content of the water to precipitate or become
insoluble. The small pressure change and its affect on carbon
dioxide, is a key condition to start the formation of calcium
crystals or "hardness crystals".
(2) Catalytic Chamber
Secondly, in order to ensure that the process of forming calcium
or "hardness" crystals is achieved to its highest potential,
the patented ESF Scale Prevention System has incorporated a Catalytic
Chamber which creates a favorable condition for the already forming
calcium or "hardness" crystals to greatly multiply
at an accelerated rate. Since the Catalytic Chamber greatly enhances
and accelerates the formation of calcium or "hardness"
crystals, it ensures that dissolved calcium does not pass through
the system and cause scaling.
The ESF Scale Prevention System
has now created the ideal water chemistry for achieving scale-free
water prior to entering the magnetic chamber. Again, this ideal
state of water rarely occurs naturally. It must be created. The
Pressure Change Chamber & the Catalytic Chamber create this
ideal condition and are what set the patented ESF Scale Prevention
System apart from all other Magnetic Water Treatment products.
Patent protection ensures that the ESF Scale Prevention System's
design and unsurpassed results cannot be duplicated.
(3) Neodymium Magnetic Chamber
It is now time for the calcium or "hardness" crystals
to enter the Magnetic Chamber. The ESF Scale Prevention System
incorporates the highest quality Neodymium magnets which makes
it possible for the calcium or "hardness" crystals
to stay in suspension. In other words, the effects of the crystallization
process are made to last by subjecting the crystals to a powerful
magnetic field. This magnetic field reverses the natural phenomenon
of like particles wanting to remain apart from each other. In
scientific terminology, this is known as zeta potential. Just
like two positives or two negative poles of a magnet repel each
other, calcium ions, which have a positive charge, also strive
to repel from each other. In order to achieve scale-free water,
the calcium or "hardness" crystals must overcome this
natural repelling action and cause a clustering effect. This
clustering process is made possible by the strong Neodymium Magnetic
Chamber which overcomes the zeta potential by creating a strong
magnetic field that enables like particles to bond to each other.
The Neodymium Magnetic Chamber also channels the water in such
a way as to speed its normal flow rate. This is also very favorable
in the clustering process. Please be aware that Clamp-On Magnetic
Water Treatment Devices do not provide this accelerated flow
rate effect. That is why they are also ineffective. The result
of all three chambers is to form harmless calcium or "hardness"
crystals which are held in suspension until they pass through
your plumbing system and are discharged down the drain.
The entire process bonds calcium
ions to each other rather than to your plumbing and plumbing
fixtures. A simple damp cloth is more than sufficient to remove
any residual mineral deposits rather than the usual abrasives
and "elbow grease" that is normally required.
